Senior Play

New people are always welcome to join the club. Come down and meet us and try out an afternoon to see if we suit you. We are a friendly lot and want to see everyone enjoying their time with us.

  • Saturday Afternoon: 1.30pm to 5pm
    • We organise you in to sets, mixing them around every 25 minutes. Afternoon tea is around 3pm. We have a weekly raffle and the bar opens at 4pm. We have a lucky number prize draw at 5pm
  • Tuesday evenings: 6.00pm to 8.00pm
  • casual tennis This is organised if enough people are interested each year. $4.00 for non members, played during daylight saving hours.

    • Interclub
  • Interclub team entries should be in by mid September please.
  • Interclub was disrupted at the end of the season with additional earthquake damage. Wilding Park is no longer available for play so this has meant a reshuffle for the new season coming up.
  • Alternative venues for interclub are currently being investigated by Canterbury Tennis and consultation with clubs. A decision will be coming out soon.
    • Club Championships

    Club Championships are held towards the end of November for Singles, Doubles and Mixed Teams. Entry forms are due early November 2010.

    Those participating in the Club Championships are bound by the Club Championship Rules and any decision the Match Committee makes should a dispute arise.

    Mid Week
    Casual mid week tennis is played on Tuesday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00 noon during summer and 10.30am to 12.00 noon during winter. All are welcome.
    Interclub is also played by midweek players on some Mondays and Wednesdays amongst other Christchurch Affiliated Clubs closing with a shared lunch at 12.00 noon.
